The company's pick-and-place case/tray packers (TL models) are specifically designed to handle flexible bags and make up to 45 placements per minute.
Compact in design, the machines are suited to automatically case/tray pack a wide variety of items packaged in bags, including cookies, crackers, potato chips and other baked goods. Featuring gentle product handling, these systems are also perfect for cartons and other rigid container types.
Utilising a patented impeller system, the direct loaders (DL models) have an automatic positioner for pre-erected cases or trays and operate at speeds up to 240 bags per minute. Suited for cookies, crackers, potato chips and various baked goods, the DL models are compact, feature stainless steel construction and are said to be easily integrated with SWF's case/tray erecting and sealing systems.
Designed to vertically pack medium to large sized flexible bags at speeds up to 100 bags per minute, the shelf loaders (DP and PL models) are designed for not only dry foods, but also frozen items such as bags of French fries. Quick changeover features and multiple pack pattern capabilities make these models flexible machines for packing both cases and trays, SWF says.
